This one is for the athletes who are in for the biggest challenge. A triathlon in three days in an amazing setting: that is the Full Long Course Weekend. The weekend starts off with the Swim Karāpiro on Friday 12th April 2024 in the afternoon. This 3.8km long swim course is one of the only fresh open water swim courses in New Zealand and consists of two laps with a short break out of the water to fix your goggles and be cheered on by the crowd. The second day, Saturday 13th April, is the Cycle Karāpiro. On this day athletes are up for the 180km long bike course. Both start and finish right outside the Mighty River Domain. Last but not least: the Karāpiro Marathon on Sunday 14th April. Athletes will run 42.2km, also starting and finishing in the centre of the Mighty River Domain for all to see them cross the finish line!

Those completing all three long distances within the cut off times will be awarded the coveted LONG COURSE ONLY fourth medal. The world famous Full LCW option is a must do for any serious multi-sport athlete.
