How to reach Karāpiro
Karāpiro sits just 6 kilometres outside of the Cambridge township and a half hour car journey from the city of Hamilton. It is an easily accessible area.
If you are heading to Karāpiro via car, your destination is within 30 minutes from Hamilton, Te Awamutu, Tirau and Matamata; 60 minutes from Rotorua and Tauranga; 90 minutes from Taupo, 2 hours from Auckland and 2 and a half hours from Coromandel.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the closure of the dam, there will be NO vehicle access to the venue via the dam if coming from a southern direction. You will need to go via Cambridge, so allow an extra 20mins to get there
If you need to jump on a plane first before catching a rental car, bus or additional flight the following airports are all nearby.
